2021 Cadence Bank v. TriEpiq Medical Group LLC, et. al.; Cadence Bank v. Fifth Third Bank

In the District Court of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, Judge Don Andrews presiding. These cases stem from a $40 million loan made by Cadence and Fifth Third to TriEpiq Lab Group LLC, et.al. The borrowers and their principals owned and operated drug-screening and medication-monitoring service businesses. Cadence’s share of the loan ($15 million) was wiped out when the borrowers defaulted. Cadence alleged that its loan of $15 million was based on omissions, fabrications, and deceit. After two years of going nowhere in the litigation, Cadence changed counsel to the firm. Ultimately, Cadence and all defendants entered into a confidential settlement satisfactory to Cadence.
